My vehicle arrived at the port last Friday (day after Thanksgiving) but is waiting on a Receiver Audio Module. Not clear on whether it's going to be installed at the BMW port facility or dealer...don't really care which.

Who else is waiting on a RAM?

Mine was showing missing RAM, but yesterday it showed it was missing 4 or 5 RAMs. I just checked and it now tells me to try another VIN. I'm guessing it is still missing RAM since my car is currently in the middle of the Atlantic.

I know mine was installed at the New Jersey port. Took about 4 weeks for mine hopefully they have a whole bunch and yours will be done soon.

Pattern suggests they are doing it at the port...at least mine was in addition to the others mentioned. Waited less than two weeks for the install in Brunswick Ga. Will also confirm FWIW the car M4C has a HUD but no phone charger. Think the Z4's will be similar.

Now have the car.

Hahaha...mine did the exact same thing. I checked one day at it went to four missing RAMs. Good grief. This is my first BMW and it might not be.

I understand there are supply chain issues but we aren't talking about toilet paper at the nearest Kroger. Someone supplies BMW with these things and they should be able to tell BMW when they will be delivered. And BMW should be able to allocate those to a car with dates. If BMW doesn't know when they will be available then at least tell us that.

A bigger issue here is, what happens when something breaks? Is it six months for BMW to fix it?

Yeah...Z4 no longer comes with the inductive charger which is fine with me. They had a lot of problems with them and due to the nature of driving on bumpy roads it never really worked well anyway. It's not mentioned as a feature anymore.

I think the web page that tells us about the RAM wasn't developed by BMW, but by a forum member. My guess is something changed in the BMW data base which made the unofficial web page fail.

Yes it was at New Jersey for 4 weeks awaiting the module.

I put a request into BMW genius when the car hit the US to get an ETA at the dealer. They were very close, within a day, car was a day early but I did not complain.

Came into the dealership the day before Thanksgiving. Still took a week to get it but it did come through with the new software update.

Mine is back to showing 4 RAMs needing to be installed. Just woundering, assuming it is not a data base error, if it means they are shipping 4 RAMs to the US port with my car. Most likely not, just a thought.
