That's a good question. I assumed it was when it sensed the fuel tank had been filled from some significantly lower level but I could be wrong.

It's definitely not just opening because I clean it out often and always have the display on after refueling.

Has an AI vibe to it. I’m not experienced with generating images using AI tools, yet, but it definitely looks like it (don’t see a watermark, but some AIs, I think, don’t make them.

MidJourney doesn't do the watermark. I had posted a few AI Z4 photos as well a little while back. Without a doubt that's an AI generated image.

In the last two weeks I have retrofitted the M steering wheel with steering wheel heating and a crystal shift lever.
I had to replace and programme everything, including the wiring, as the steering wheel heating was not available as an option in Japan.
The crystal shift lever was also programmed with ISTA+ to light up the LEDs.The BMW logo shines orange when the headlights are on and white in daylight.
All parts are genuine BMW parts.

I need details on the shifter please. Part number and what it took to get it installed (complexity) and programmed.
Saw one on these in a X5 and we fell in love with it.
Want to retrofit the Z with one.

When someone first mentioned ‘crystal’ interior pieces, I just imagined an extreme bejeweled garishness. However, I will say that just because some (most) people do something terribly bad, doesn’t mean that it is bad.

I do think the crystal gear knob and inserts look very well done. So much so, that I am considering it myself.

Agreed. Prior to me seeing it, I was of the opinion that it was an option for those with deep pockets and shallow taste.
However after seeing it in person; I’m in!

Would love to know details on how you did this. My hubby has this in his X5 and I asked the dealer if they could put it in my 4 series and they said no.
