I mean.. if it's a color you like (to which I can see by your nails there) don't let others bum you out. I personally love the purple too, but not sure if it screams "me." Clearly it does for you. Pull that trigger!

Would have gladly paid the extra for individual color but sadly not a choice.
Unfortunately the Magna Steyr factory in Austria is not setup for “Individual” colors. If it were, you would see many people spending the extra money for some great looking colors on the Z4.

I would love to have a Yas Marina Blue/ Ivory combination. It should be noted that currently YMB is not even offered as a Individual color on “M” cars. One of my friends just took delivery of a Brooklyn Grey M3 Competition and would have ordered YMB if offered and paid for it.

I'd gladly have paid a premium for Atacama Yellow.

You can always find a company that has that color and do a wrap.

My impression of wraps is that they are toys for the rich. I’ve seen too many (around here it’s wrapped teslas ‘cause they all look the same) with scars through which it’s apparent it’s not paint. That’s not first hand information, so maybe I’m wrong but the thinness of the material doesn’t inspire confidence. If I could wrap and be good for at least 5+ years I probably would. As it is I’m going to PPF mine and sticking with available color.

Yeah, yellow is my favorite color. Wish they could just "borrow" some of that yellow paint they use on the Supra at the factory

you have colored ppf too these days, really glossy.
looks more reflective than paint in some cases.
https://shop.gswf.com/ is one example i'm sure there are more brands out there.

Some wraps are really nice these days too inozetek wraps for example

but i think ppf is a scam for the rich. it costs more than repainting the entire car, would only be something i would consider on matte paint since that is difficult to repair.

I looked over the new front and rear bumper covers and trim changes and its hard to see any real difference. Also - I don't think the new 772M black wheels are available yet. I saw 2 MY23 Z4s so far and neither had the new wheels.

I read a rumor that the MY24 Z4 will get the 6MT to give the car some excitement for the last 2 model years. Im gonna stick with my Misano blue '19 for now and see what happens next year.
I have the 772M wheels on my Ssg Z4.

Wow, didn’t know colored PPF was available - I see some colors on that website that look amazing. Definitely going to check more into this! Thanks for that.

XPel have gloss, Matte (stealth) and black PPF. As RavenGX mentioned regarding the gloss, the black gloss I have is a lot shinier than black paint.

In the Miami/ Ft. Lauderdale area I have seen several Teslas with a Pepto Bismol pink color wrap that I think is butt ugly.

However I don't have an issue with the YMB wrap as featured on the M3 in this thread.

Followed up more with the colored PPF - the installer near me says he swore he would not do the interior door jambs again after his last install with it, says the car has been back multiple times to fix bubbles due to the stresses on all the multiple angles and how thick the PPF is vs. vinyl. They wrap all the exterior surfaces but the interior part of the door jambs will be original color. I don’t think that would make me happy so i’m sticking with PB glossy.

If you like purple then I agree, you'll like Thundernight. So, don't worry about it.

Perhaps BMW feels that they are attracting an older customer who is more conservative in taste. Just because I am over 70 doesn't mean I don't want fun and excitement in my life!!!
