Wow. Even the 8 series outsells the Z4. It's almost like they're not motivated to sell this car ...was there ever a commercial for the G29? I don't remember any.

I always pay attention to car commercials and don't recall ever seeing one for the Z4. In fact I don't recall even seeing one that the Z4 included with other BMW models in the same screen shot.

Agreed, if it weren't for the Supra; I do not believe there would be a G29.

At the very least they could have advertised the 4 cylinder Z4 sDrive30i. I am sure some of the Supra customers would have been tempted by a convertible model, especially those living in warmer climates like where I live in South Florida. I see Supras on a regular basis while driving down here.

Probably easier to sell cars if they're on the car lot. We waited well longer then the "6 weeks" promised to get ours and the dealership in a major metro area only had 1 other Z4 on the lot that I saw during that time. I think the Supra saless are like 3 or 4x the Z4 sales

consider no, but with the way things are going I may not have a choice. if I had to get a EV it would probably be a pickup. that makes the most sense to me.

I'm with TAZ007. Until the infrastructure improves, I don't see getting any EV unless it was only for around town, which would, most likely, be a truck.

Yes, there was one in the UK - unless I am confusing it with another model (car driving through a maze). And then there was a promo film, but think that was for online only.

Clearly I love my Z4, and the whole roadster experience, but for long trips, a Tesla with full self driving is a game changer. The Tesla charging infrastructure is fairly extensive, especially along major highways. I’ve made several trips from GA to CT (1100 miles each way) with no issues charging. It’s a different paradigm than gassing up, where you plan your stops around bathroom and food breaks and the 10-30 minute charging stops every 3ish hours becomes a non issue. There are also more and more hotels with destination chargers on site that are a nice perk. It’s hard to describe how much less fatigue you have when using the full self driving feature. I think of the Tesla more as a tool that I leverage to reduce the pain of a long highway trip, whereas the Z4 puts a smile on my face and makes me happy when I drive it.

Think limited production is intentional. Advertising probably not economically justifiable.

With all due respect, you're NUTS if you rely on Tesla's self driving! They don't even use lidar in their system and rely on cameras to provide the data to the buggy (Beta) software. If you can't climb in the back and safely take a nap with certainty you'll wake up at trip's end the car is not self-driving. Good luck with that!
