I just tracked my car which is "in Transit". There are only two spots beyond that, "at dealer" and "delivered". How can I tell if and when it arrives at the port? Thanks,

Perhaps call Genius and get the boat name if you don't already have it and track it that way. Genius might be able to give you an estimated port date as well.

No I don't have the ship name, in the process of trying to get it now. Thanks,

IIRC, the status will show that it's at the port again once the ship arrives at its destination.

IOW, the timeline tracker uses the same port status node on the timeline to show both the port of origin and the destination port. And also uses the same 'in transit' status as well when it's on its loaded onto a truck on its way to the dealer, skipping over the 'at port' status when it arrives at the dealership.

No idea why they don't just add 2 more status steps to the timeline.

I am tracking my car right now. It just got to the dealership today. What was stated above is correct - When the car is at the Port the status will go back to "At Port" then go to "In Transit" once the Transport company picks up the car.

What’s the best tracker? My car is on the Orion Highway.

This is what was suggested to me, and what I used - Marine Traffic. They have a website and an App. You can "create" your own fleet with the name of the ship and track the ship that way.

https://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais...:ORION_HIGHWAY

One thing to note, at a few points along the trip it will be out of range for the "free" tracking service. At times it will "ping" from other ships or land based trackers, but while it is in the middle of the ocean, it is just out of range.

This site will also give you a pretty accurate estimate of arrival day/time to port as well.

Currently, it looks like your ship is due to arrive in Baltimore on 12/21 at 0700 Local Time.

Thanks, I’ll watch that one. The dealer also said 12/21.

Can confirm. This is exactly what happened with my X3.

It was "at port" waiting to get on a train.
It was "in transit" on the train.
It was "at port" again once arriving at the rail port.
And then it went directly to "at dealer" but the dealer still needed a week to get it ready...

I'm guessing it's pretty similar via boat.

It will tell you when it's at the port, in transit, at destination port and in transit again. This is the hardest part of it all. However, if you call Genius line, you can also get the ship name it's on and go to https://www.klineglobalroro.com/ check out the schedule and even download an app to track the ship. (I forgot the app name i'm so sorry!)

The time is getting close, but the tracker hasn’t updated in almost 3 days. If the ETA is correct it should hit the port around 8AM tomorrow.

I remember mine not updating for a while, then the day before it was supposed to get to port it updated. It all depends on how far out it still is at this point. I was able to track mine a little more as it went around Florida and through the Gulf of Mexico. Depending on what port yours is going to, and what else is around there, it may not ping anything until it gets a little closer.

I can also tell you, the estimated arrival date/time was pretty accurate for mine. If i remember correctly, it was only a couple hours off.

I hope that helps ease the mind a little. Trust me, I know how frustrating it is watching it and wanting an update. I can tell you this though - I have only had my baby since Friday afternoon, but it is well worth the wait.

Thanks for the reply. Mine is headed to Baltimore. Three days ago it said off the Canadian coast. Once they put it on a truck it only has to go to VA. Then the dealer will ship to me. Shipping has been arranged.

Did you check to see if there are any CCTV cameras at the port? You may be able to watch the ship arrive.

Looks like it will be pretty much on time (an hour off the original ETA - not too bad). Now you have the fun of waiting for it to be released from the Vehicle Processing Center to the transport/trucking company. Mine sat at port for 2 weeks before it was released to the trucking company, then sat for almost another week before it was picked up by the truck and shipped to my dealers. Hoping yours is quicker than mine.

Thanks for info, and I hope mine is quicker also. MyBMW still shows "In transit".

Well, I thought it was on time but looks like it’s still a few hours away.

This is the first time in many years that I have waited for a car to arrive from the factory. Even when I bought my 911 I searched the internet until I found one in stock. So that is why I’m excited. Humor me 😎.

Looks great!
My Z4 is in the “production begins “stage. I feel like an expectant father.

On a positive note, I just found out that my performance center delivery for the grand coupe is scheduled for January 26.
