Opinion Wanted - Brake color

You will still see some fingerprints, but at least you can eliminate the risk of micro scratches when you have PPF on top of the black trim. I always keep a small, micro fiber cloth in my glove compartment to remove the fingerprints. 😉

As a side note, mentioned it before, Xpel have a Black PPF film which looks great on the black trim pieces. I have it on the A-pillars, mirrors, side vents, interior and the front black items (I’ve tried to take pictures of it but…there’s nothing to ‘see’ except shiny black trim).

Whether you use Xpel’s clear PPF or their black PPF the end result is the same. You are protecting your investment! 👍🏻

In the U.K. it’s just the blue caliper option on these..which is a bit annoying

I think both choices are good.

You'll have an "American flag" car with the red paint + white interior + blue calipers.

But I think the red calipers will stand out much more. I get compliments on my red brakes. I came from a 2017 340i and had blue brakes on that, so I'd have gone red just for the sake of changing it up.

Yeah, I think I’m leaning red. I have the blue ones now, so similar rationale.

I went with blue calipers on my SF Red. Here it is right now w/ the 798M winter package; 18” orbit grey wheels. I like the contrast between the red body, the blue calipers, and a bit more blue with the BMW emblems.

I spent some time going over everything with my wife last night. Gonna do the red. Based on some of these pictures and others I’ve seen online, they seem to stand out more than the blue.
