Had a chance to try wireless charging on my new Google Pixel 5. The blue light flashed for several minutes and the phone indicated it was charging, then the light stopped and the charging stopped. Phone was less than 40% charged. Anyone else have this problem?

FWIW. iPhone charging & phone will shut down on the charger if the phone gets too hot.

Happened a few times in the summer. A 1/2 minute in front of an A/C vent fixes it right up.

For whatever reason guys have complained that iPhones run hot on the charger when set for CarPlay. Less so when not using CarPlay

EDIT: No case on my phone & slider is open.

Genius says will over heat if using Android Auto apps to navigate. Tried turning off navigation and still over heated. Not sure why I paid extra for this feature.

Do you use a case? Keep the slider closed?

Maybe try without the case. I have a thin original Apple case on my iPhone and it gets very warm, but everything works fine. I usually have Waze running on longer trips.
