Lol - wouldn't be bad idea - although as soon as someone knows an address that has it - the poachers are gonna show up and you better be armed. It's pretty serious in some areas around here. Folks hire armed security with class 3 weapons. You can only harvest about every 7-10 years, so it's important to rotate through the crop so you have some each year.

Nice hotel. The spa down there (Austin Springs Spa) is where my wife and daughter get their hair done.

I'm from the SF Bay Area, but was living in LA prior to moving to Austin. Was paying $2800 mo for a 1bd apt in LA.
My coworkers are responsible, and buy a house and drive POS cars. I'm not, bought an M2C instead and rent. |

Right now with prices as high as they are... renting is the best option and just hanging out until the market corrects; these prices are out of control.

I could be wrong, though. Homes are very reasonable where I live. You can get a solid, nice home in a good part of town for around $140K and a very nice, nearly new condo for around $80K.

I don't - the only thing I was aware of was what I sent you a bit ago. You can also do a 50 mile search from Johnson City, TN in LinkedIn and see what might pop up.

I'm not looking forward to being anywhere but Chicagoland, I don't feel like I'd be able to reach where I am today in another city because i'd be starting from scratch without a social crutch like a public college |

It's all about balance. Nobody wants to live in the middle of nowhere where there's nothing to do, no high paying jobs, and mediocre schools.
I'll need $2-4 million to afford a decent house in a nice part of LA or OC. For my priorities it would be worth it.

Here's a 'city folk' high buck home near me,
https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/5...91516541_zpid/ But really most of the big money stuff out here are farms and lots of acreage. Though most times they go on auction and not direct sale. Kinda like this, https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/5...83849983_zpid/

For me as a later midager is the final question before buying a big house with big surroundings...am I be able to keep my sh*t tidy in all way?
ATM my condo in Hamburg is so well placed, that all groceries, drugstores and doctors are within max. 10 minutes with very slow walking and even with wheelchair not more than 20 minutes. The size is with 65sq/m quite well to keep it tidy on my own w/o renting an extra housemaid plus its nearly barrierfree. Here down in Bavaria we're also living in a very nice and big condo above the roofs of the village at 3rd floor, but no elevator, rooms over 2 levels and the qualitiy of the streets are quite poor if you can't really walk well. After a knee OP I learned that to hate very quickly. That had led to a mindchange about buying houses, whats the purpose of a big and nice house when a medic has to fly in by helicopter caused by distance, so to speak. On the flipside meanwhile the prices near the cities had exploded, so sometimes you wouldn't afford a close distance. Im glad that I have some more time to consider the options and hadn't to rush...

1) My location is one of the fastest small towns in the United States. We've seen a 50% increase in population within the last 12 years. 2) One of the largest companies on earth has it's world headquarters here, employing over 12,000 people at this one location with the average wage of $64,200/yr and over 500 employees making more than $150,000 per year and more than 50 making over $1,000,000 per year. 3) My employer has no one on my floor making less than $100K and many making several million per year. 4) The elementary school in my district is ranked as the number one school in the state and one of the top 25 in the entire country. Our local high school is also ranked extremely high. 5) I traveled to LA many times during previously for board meetings. While housing is extremely expensive in that area, your numbers are ridiculously inflated. There are plenty of very nice houses in excellent areas for far less than $2-4 million dollars. This took me about 2 minutes: https://www.trulia.com/p/ca/venice/1...91--2077709931 https://www.trulia.com/p/ca/santa-mo...04--2077757428 https://www.trulia.com/p/ca/los-ange...30--2077519246 https://www.trulia.com/p/ca/los-ange...64--2115682218 https://www.trulia.com/p/ca/santa-mo...05--2077762405 https://www.trulia.com/p/ca/los-ange...66--2077471091

I seem to notice the trend that the more you have to pay for a house, the more vagrants you have sleeping on your sidewalks. Right LA/SanFran?
