Interesting product. Do you inflate the bubble with some kind of electric air pump like you would an air bed? And, does it slowly deflate?

Today I had the black lettering put on my car.

With my paint color of SSG, I think the black lettering provides a greater contrast than the standard lettering.

The gloss black badges are definitely an improvement!

Yessssss... I agree. Gloss Black looks better, even so with that color cause the other ones just kinda blended in.

Seen those bubbles before. seems like more effort than its worth? But I guess you aren't taking any risks!

I have 2 mouse traps around the edges of the garage at entry points. Caught 3, already. As well as 2 in the shed to keep them away from the mowers.

It would be nice if BMW just allowed us to order the gloss black badges when you spec out and build your car at the dealer instead of making us go through the hassle of installing them later on.

100%! more options, accessories for the Z4 would be nice. Such as carbon fiber ... M inspired steering wheel (carbon fiber) .. crystal series. Just seems like no brainers.

Thing is, they aren’t even shown on BMW’s website as an accessory for the Z4.

But yeah, they should be included if you order the shadowline package for sure.

I would definitely have ordered carbon fiber interior trim if it had been available. I especially like the way it looks on the steering wheel!

We keep our beach buggy in a giant freezer bag, does not inflate. Will see if I can find a picture in the bag.

Drove down in the Z4 and took it out yesterday, five hour round trip - 31mpg @ 82MPH average speed. Used less than a tank full. Love this car.



Had put the buggy in the bag the day before the storm rolled up the coast. My garage level took about 18" of water with no leaks into the bubble.

House is on pilings so no water damage to it.

Should definitely be part of the "extended shadow line package" which currently blacks out the mirrors (IMO a bit of a pointless thing to black out).

I had someone remotely enable my anti-dazzle headlights via a laptop and ENET cable today. I found a couple of places that do this -- BimmerTech is more expensive but they can work with your Mac laptop. Bimmer-Remote.com is cheaper but requires that you have a Windows machine. The whole idea of letting a stranger somewhere in the world take over your laptop in order to take over your car made me a little nervous but I guess it's the future? Took the car out for a drive tonight. It's pretty fun. If it's really dark it will turn on the high beams but when other cars or reflective surfaces are nearby it will respond to the situation in a pretty cool way, never as bright as the high beams but definitely more helpful than the low beams. Mostly I wanted to try this to see what it was like since I have a more elaborate version of this system ("pixel lights") on my Polestar which I am more likely to be driving at night. For that car you basically have to continue subscribing to a software service because every time the Polestar has a software update you lose the coding config and you have to reapply it. So I wanted to see if it was worth the trouble. I think I need to drive the Z4 some more to come to a definitive conclusion. I mean any excuse to drive it, right?

Ordered some personalized plates for my Z4. Normally, in Texas, I'd have Disabled Veteran plates, but I'm honestly not benefitting from having them on the Z4. So... opted to get new plates. I'll share them when I receive them and get them on the car, but I got them in remembrance of my brother that we lost in 2023. Look out for your people... stay in touch... give a big hug. Be cognizant of anything that changes in them.

Picked up and installed new personalized plates today. Those are the initials of my younger brother we lost Memorial Day weekend 2023.

Plate essentially says that he became a star in the heavens 2023.

Also those black and white plates are pretty sharp.
