It does, but only just and only when centered in the trunk. Move it an inch or two to the right or left and it touches the upper deck where the top is stowed. Fitting two airline sized carry-on hard bags is not going to work with the sub centered. Happily, clearance is the same with the top up or down. Nice to know the top stowage compartment is rigid.

The other reason is that I expect a dedicated sub cabinet & amp will sound better than upgrading the 8" speakers in the tiny OEM speaker cavities.

Now that I've verified the RF 10" sub fits, I'll order the required power & audio cables, booster harness connector, and line output converter module.

Total cost will be around $530 not including tax. Wiring should be easy - everything is within 2-3 feet of the subwoofer.

Give me a shout if you need any info. I just replaced speakers all round (rear subs and rear speakers were a royal pain to access - had to remove the center console, roll bar trim, and interior trim panels to get to them), fitted a sub in the trunk, and installed a Helix DSP & amp, and an additional amp for the rear wall 'subs' and trunk sub.

Nope... no sense of entitlement. What's mine is not his. He will be lucky to get what he does get. Driving around a 60k roadster is not in his cards for the immediate future.

however, that does not mean I don't look forward to teaching him how to drive. Just won't be in that.

maybe spray paint? one of those artists kits with a airbrush gun? Don't know how handy you are with that sort of thing. Would take a bit of experimentation.

I was thinking of getting one. They have white with brown (sorry, 'cognac') interior, just need to paint the wheels.

I had an awesome all day drive this past Saturday with my son driving the Tail of the Dragon and other mountain roads through TN, SC, NC and GA. I had just enough tire squealing to make my day. My son and I took turns driving. I’m glad I opted for the Meclizine for my time in the passenger seat.
