It was awesome, but you need to know how to position yourself in the pack to not exceed your ability or you could end up in a ditch, or worse. Out of 50 cars I drove in the top 15 cars and my son started driving towards the rear of the pack. By the end of the day he was comfortable driving in the middle and was keeping up with a V10 Audi R8 in the twisties. I also ended the day with piles of brake dust in the rims and was down to 13.8 mpg having run all day in sport plus mode. The Z4 definitely held it’s own, also having the top down all day made it even better.

Thanks, it looks like it has a black interior and I don't think the top goes down on this model.

Yes, black interior, top does not go down, but it's also just one of those Kinsmart ones. 1/34 scale model. Closest thing I've seen to the Misano Blue so far. The picture in amazon when i bought it was much more of a baby blue.

My dad found a white one 1:18. I want it lol, but it doesn't have the orange/red interior. But I'll take it regardless.

Sounds like a complete blast and is definitely on my bucket list. And yeah, I bet the top down experience with the weather we've been having down South was amazing!

Agreed. After 3 months of forecasts full of rain & thunderstorms, the weather finally turned last weekend and looks to be good for the next 10 days.

In my experience autumn is the best season here because it's dry, sunny, and temperate. Hoping that's the case this year as well, and that we don't get hammered by any big hurricanes....

The mud flaps: where did you get them from? Something I want to do.

They are from Al1addons. Actually for a Toyota Supra. Couple of the holes on the front guards have to be drilled to match our Z4, because they don’t line up. The locating holes are ok for the rear, but the two bottom stand-offs have to be cut in half so it fits properly…..that’s what I did. Search YouTube for install video.

ho did you put the car on the ceiling? I’d agree, it helps with cleaning, to get all the fluff, McDonald’s fries and loose change out.

Thanks for this: ordered. There was a ton of crap behind the wheels after 500 miles, that I’m sure if was left on for a while would be a problem. Besides, I’m a fan of mudflaps for some reason.

Left it safe in Raleigh & drove the SUV to the beach.

Yesterday - Storm Surge

Boats on the lifts are floating free & are tied to the lifts to keep them in place.

This morning - Low Tide.

The storm surge is eye opeing considering how far away the storm center is from the coast, and that it's depowered down to a post-tropical cyclone.

Hope you don't have to deal with any flooding or other storm related damage!

No we are good. Had a bit over 3 feet in the property but the house is up on pilings & the lowest living space is about 13 feet above ground level.

The house is located in the box on the map - bright blue cloudless sky's today. Would never know there was a storm.

Two of my son in laws & I came down the night before the storm to secure the place. The beach buggies & SUV were put up on jack stands, everything else at ground level is not effected by water.

Admiration

I just had to peek into the garage to admire it. Neighborhood streets are being re-paved by the village this week, billows of dust everywhere, so sadly it stays in the garage until re-paving is complete.

Good idea. I have an entire highway being built but even with all that construction it's still the best way in and out of my area.
