Anyone been to Fiji?

Wife and I are going to Fiji for three weeks in May

Starting out at the Beqa Lagoon resort, back to Nadi for a week then off to The Remote Resort for the last week

We have some flexibility in what we do for the middle week so was wondering if anyone has any tips or must see/do things in the area

From the sounds of it, you're planning on doing it right. Dive around the protected coral reefs, explore the coast line and enjoy the spirited nature of the locals. I was there ~40 years ago on a budget, missed my puddle-jumper to Taveuni and therefore blew my chance to see the spectacular Taveuni silktail. Poked around the rain forests above Nadi-Town and wasn't disappointed see the dusk flight of the Samoan flying foxes.

We’ll have to keep an eye out for the flying fox, just read up on them and didn’t realize their wingspan is almost 3 feet across

Looking forward to the trip, most of the resorts that aren’t hotels appear to have no TV’s or internet in the rooms so that’ll be interesting to see if I get the shakes after a couple days
