I’m acutely interested in the issues of lease-end buyouts in Florida. There were a bunch of articles about it last year but I haven’t seen much about it in 2023. I’m hoping BMW has done the right thing and set up the requirements that allow a check to be mailed to them.

There were a number of lawsuits regarding dealerships not adhering to the lease contract by trying to raise residuals and charges doc fees, etc. The contract states the residual value which is the total price one pays to purchase the car at the end of the lease. They can’t add fees or raise the residual without breaking the contract.

By the way, the Disposition Fee is only charged if you return the car to BMW - NOT if you buy the car at lease-end.
