I haven't compared GM prices lately though. Toyota pricing was always pretty good too so I bought some of their vehicles..

GM has a pretty good supplier discount program, which includes the Corvette. Don’t know if the C8 is in there yet.

Love my Z4, but a corvette has always been my obtainable dream car. When I was finally able to afford one, the C8 was around the corner and it hadn't been announced yet (July 18th mind you). I took delivery of my Z4 on April 16th. When I watched the C8 debut I was stunned and kicked myself for not waiting out a few more months.

Not for a lack of trying to buy a C7 (which I really enjoyed the styling), but the local chevy dealers (yes, plural) here in Pensacola didn't wanna negotiate on their C7s beyond the incentives offered by the manufacturer, even with the C8 debut around the corner, so I went for the higher quality of the Z4. But that C8 is absolutely beautiful.

The Z4 was my 4th BMW purchase in 4 years and I'd say I'm partial to the brand, but between tinkering on cars, loving the sound of the V8 and loving everything about the C8, I can't help but switch to the dark side in a few years (when the C8 is readily available).

What would really win me over is if BMW came out with a mid-engine car to compete with the C8. Drop in the S58 and they'd steal sales from the C8 I'm sure.

Most Corvette sales are from cult corvette buyers. They have no interest in Z4. They just want there garage queens to look at them, while they jerkoff. Lets not forget that while i'm out to dinner on a Saturday night Corvette owners are sitting in a beach chair in a parking lot. Corvettes like Z4 need to be driven. As long as its not snowing i prefer to drive this everyday. If its clean and raining i will leave in garage thou

Not corvette bashing, i wanted a new one and they said all orders accounted for. I,ll get one in 2 years. Be easy to get. Chevy dealers not allowed to order and upsell unlike BMW M5 release with 20k over sticker. Go figure
