RIP - Don Shula

Don Shula dies at age 90. Rest In Peace!

My dad was a huge Dolphins fan when I was growing up. It was the first thing he mentioned to me when I called him to talk.

Don Shula was "the man" back in the day although growing up in Boston, we naturally were Patriots fans. no matter how good a team the Pats had, Shula would find a way to upset them. Coach Shula was a great spokesman for the game, and also enjoyed having some of the real greats on his roster-Buoniconti, Griese, Czonka,Morris, etc. A real legend and a gentleman. RIP

Don Shula was the first iconic sports figure in the state of Florida and will be missed. Most wins in NFL history and having a coupe of SB victories along with the only perfect season, he’s top 3-5 all time head NFL coaches.

A toast to Shula:

Thank you for the memories, class act and RIP.

LOL...for some reason the Dolphins have had the "Pats" number quite a few times. I work with a lot of NE transplants and just loved Monday mornings at work when a season losing Dolphin team would find a way to beat NE.

It was always epic!

But my dad and brother were and remain die-hard fans. I was the black sheep being a Packers fan.
