Perez confirms another team approach.

Checo has said another team has contacted him with a view to drive for them. He's not saying who and has shown no vexation to RP as it's just the 'nature of the game'.It is likely to be either Haas or Alfa Romeo who has shown interest.
So possibly a happy Seb next year with a loaner Aston Martin road car to run about in.

Piquet's pass on him is classic and Senna didn't look at all surprised by it.

Every little helps my friend and it should control the snappy back end to an extent with more grip out of the corners.

Indeed!
Perhaps a little rear downforce will provide the RB with better rear tire adhesion....love seeing the revisions arrive!

25C with sun and a chance of light rain for the race, a light covering of water on the track would liven things up.

The Great Equalizer may turn this Sunday's GP into a more level playing field for the "best of the rest" teams.

I'm hoping it's more than the best of the rest my friend, hopefully no broken aero parts to keep goliath and checo at bay. Just getting to the first corner first....will mess the Merc aero up with only the straight to give them a chance with the 'comedy show' drs flap.

"FIA to implement track limits during Hungarian GP weekend"

Published on 16 Jul 2020 13:12

The FIA will be enforcing track limits at this weekend's Hungarian Grand Prix to stop drivers from gaining an advantage around the lap.

At the Red Bull Ring, which hosted the opening two races of the 2020 F1 season, drivers had their lap times deleted if they went beyond the kerbs at Turns 9 and 10.

In race notes published by F1 race director Michael Masi ahead of this weekend's race, he declared that any lap achieved by “leaving the track and cutting behind the red and white kerb will result in that lap time being invalidated by the stewards”.

When this happens, the team in question will be notified via an official messaging system.

During the race, on the third occasion of the driver leaving the track at the specified corners, the driver will be shown a black and white flag and will be reported to the stewards.

For added clarity, Masi stated that “this means a total of three occasions combined, not three at each corner”.

However, each case will be judged differently, and the requirements will not automatically apply to a driver who is forced beyond the track limits.

After the driver passes beyond track limits, he must “only re-join the track when it is safe to do so and without gaining a lasting advantage”.

The extra stewards needed for this will be extra busy.

adding a 2m width sand after the curbs and then tarmac will automatically push drivers from those critical abusable curbs.. when you design curbs and run off area like in A1's one before final corner, drivers d tend to push more since there is almost no risk.. i guess in Monza there was a corner like that.. and if they wont use all the curbs they ll lose time.. super sharp knife edge really..

This is what I want to see, they keep saying it should be a 'little' like road conditions so if we ourselves get it wrong then kerb will do damage to our cars.

Checo's contract has a break clause according to his agent. Looks like Checo is out.
