You can buy seat covers on places like amazon that are water resistant/ odor resistant. They attach to the seat so they stay on well. I have one in my car. It works very well.

Usually after I am either sweaty from the rain, or sweat from the gym; I like to use a leather cleaner and wipe the seats down with a towel. I like to think it keeps the seats from cracking and drying up.
