My dealer updated me this morning that my car was on a truck and headed to the dealership, and that it could be as soon as tonight or tomorrow.

Due to some scheduling on my end I'll be picking it up on Monday morning. The app has moved from 'At Port' to 'In Transit' now, if that helps. Hoping you guys get the good news soon, I'm looking forward to seeing pictures once you get them!

Unfortunately I'm still at the port, but thanks for the update. It's too bad you have to wait until Monday. Maybe I'll get some good news tomorrow.

Moving quickly (ish) - from the paint booth to entering the assembly line, now to quality check within a week and a half.

The whole production of a vehicle will only take about 2 weeks. The bottle neck will be waiting for the vehicle to be transported to the port and the time it takes to get on a vessel. If you are on the West Coast like me it will take about 28 days for the vessel to arrive at Port Hueneme. Then the waiting starts all over again for the vehicle to be transported to your dealer. In California it usually takes one day.

Thanks for the info. It did update from In Transit to At the Port. So just waiting for it to go back to In Transit to get from Baltimore to the Twin Cities. This should give me a few weeks before hibernating for the Mn winter.

Woke up to see that my car has left the factory! So I’m now on step 12. At what point will I know which ship is assigned to my car?

I'm in the same status as of yesterday. I think we'll both be at the port by Monday/Tuesday but won't find out what ship we're on until it leaves port. Then we can call the genius line/SA to find out what ship it's on. So it could be up to a month () before we get on a ship headed to brunswick. I've seen as fast as 5 days at the port but most are seeing 2-4 weeks.

I posted yesterday that my Z4 was in the quality check stage, and I woke up today to it being in the "Awaiting Carrier" stage.

Check your status, looks like my car just hit the port. Now we wait and pray lol

I just checked and it says at the port now too! So I just called the Genius who confirmed its at the port.

However, she said it will likely take a month before it makes it to Bremerhaven and then another 3 weeks of travel to the US. So she's predicting I'll get my car by early November.

yea about month before we set sail then another month before we get our cars. This is where it sucks because we'll get very little until we're onboard the ship

I wish I could get it by the end of September because currently I work in Arkansas and travel to see my parents in Nashville, and I have some flexibility in my shifts this month. But all of October I'll be working so it would actually be okay with me if I were to get it by the beginning of November. If it gets here any quicker than that, I'll obviously take a day to come down to Nashville, pick it up and go back up to work the next day but I'd prefer not to do that as its physically grueling. I guess I'll continue to want and see what actually happens.

I thought so too! but I'm just stating what the lady I spoke with at BMW said to me just now. Idk maybe its at some processing center in between?

The Lady is indeed confused - the Port is Bremerhaven - there is no Processing Center in between the Factory and the Port that I am aware of.

My car left Port Hueneme this morning and is on its way to my dealer. Should be here this late afternoon. I doubt the car will be ready by this weekend. Probably will pick it up Monday.

Had order confirmation on 6/25 and hopefully delivery on 9/9. Last time I ordered one took three months. So this time it is much quicker.

She's probably delayed and maybe it's showing departed factory instead of at Port?

Well I was told that the BMW genius has the latest info. To be fair, both my myBMW app and the mygarage app both said "dispatched from factory" when I saw your message and so I called them and they said 'no it just arrived at the port'. After she said that she said it would take 3 weeks to get to breamerhaven and then it'll get on a ship. I didnt know enough to push back but after she said whatever she said. Either way, we're still stuck waiting for a few more weeks.

Based on what some people have been reporting it may sit in Bremerhaven for 3 weeks before it gets on a ship.

I had one instance where Genius deferred to my dealer and it turned out my dealer did some research and got me the latest info but earlier this week Genius had more up to date info about its status stateside than my dealer. Really odd how BMW’s info travels across the different units.
