Would love to get thoughts on a potential deal I am considering for a 2022 Z4 G29 CPO.

I was offered $44K OTD noted as best price they could do (I'm not in a rush and the car has been sitting on the lot for a while - ~2 months). I value the CPO/extended warranty, but not super excited about the body styling (no Shadowline trim) and would likely swap the front Grille out for a Black one and look for a used set of Black Wheels.

For that car with the CPO, it's a good price but not a great price - if that's the car you want. Spend another $2-3k on wheels and trim to get what you want and it's not such a good deal. My advice is to find the car you really want.

It's a decent price. It's somewhat similar to mine. Like mine it was produced during the height of the supply chain shortage for some parts. As such, you get no HUD (Heads Up Display) and your center controller (the big round dial) has no touch function like all other models have.

Of note, the car is optioned with Sensatec leatherette seat covering rather than leather but has the upgraded Harman/Kardon sound system and Active Cruise Control, heated steering and seats. Also, the car does not have the M Sport Package ( not to be confused with the Performance Package with M brakes, adaptive suspension and LSD) that includes:
4AT Black High Gloss Trim
704 M sport suspension
710 M steering wheel
715 Aerodynamic kit
760 Shadowline exterior trim

If in your shoes, I'd hold out for one with the HUD and the M Sport Package, even better if it includes the Performance Package but you may have to pay a bit more for those options. Missing the touch function on the controller is not a big deal because it's rarely used. The two options missing from mine that I regret are the heated steering and HUD.

Still have a few months until my lease expires, so no rush, but its hard to wait given my excitement for the car!

Unless you want black-on-black, I'd hold out for something closer to what you want. As noted, changing out the wheels (and trim) will add a bit.

Keep looking. If I were you I'd search on CarGurus.com just because there aren't that many Z4s to begin with and from my searching about 75% of the used ones are not at BMW dealers.

If you find one at a non-BMW dealer, it won't be a CPO. But if it's less than 48 months/50k miles you can buy the BMW extended service plan (and there are options other than the standard CPO warranty) if it's that important to you. If it's a one owner car and you get a PPI, you should be good. These have been really reliable cars.

Hang in there! Never let the excitement cause you to jump at anything less than what you want. Especially when it comes to a fun car like this one. I’d even say be prepared to get a cheapo used car once the lease expires so you can wait for the exact spec you crave. It’s hard to do, but if you think you’re pumped up now wait until you get your exact choice with no compromises!

Curious for folks’ thoughts on this one… basically fully loaded (M Sport, Premium, Executive, Track Handling, Driving Assistance) and really like the Frozen Grey, which it looks like is rare based on my search.

2019 BMW Z4

Offered $43K OTD - as it is spec’d essentially feels like a M40i without the engine.

Seems like a decent price to me, it’s pretty loaded and low mileage
