Leather Seat Problem

I discovered this today. My G29 has 2110 miles on it and I have had it for 11 months. It is not a black mark, the leather has worn and cracked. I haven't worn anything except cotton shirts when I drive the car. I am a bit fanatical about keeping it clean and tidy.

I am going to request a new seat or new leather. Anyone else had this experience? Am I justified in requesting new leather? Thanks for the input.

That is not worn and cracked. That has been scraped by something that cut the surface of the leather - and probably more than once. That can be repaired without new leather.

Seat damage

That looks like a scrape. Could it be that when you get in you sometimes do what I do and step in then slide down into the seat? Could be damage from a belt or rivets on jeans. Should be easily repaired without replacement.

I don't wear jeans. I have worn nothing but cotton shorts, shirts, and khakis. I don't wear a belt.

It is possible the driver from my dealer did it when he picked up and dropped off the car after it had the tie-rod recall. Thanks for the info.

Its from your shorts with metal rear pocket buttons. Have this on my car also. And previous car. Mine was from unsnapped metal button on rear of shorts. Was pissed because i knew of the problem a year ago, but forgot. Threw shorts in garbage.
