Hello, I often smell a coolant odor from my car, its seems to be coming from the drivers side. No leaks noted

The attached picture, front drivers side, shows some type of white debris in a couple places. I’m not sure what these two units are for. The one on the left says controller. Not sure if this is even related to the coolant odor.

Has anyone figured it out? I have same issue, just smell and no loss of antifreeze for past 1 year. took it to delaer 2 times they cant figure it out

the one on the left is the ABS module i think, so probably not coming from there. (my engine knowledge comes only from playing computergames, so i might be totally wrong ) .

maybe one of the clamps that is not tightent properly or that leaks a little when the fluid gets hotter?

Not sure what coolant smells like, but the winshield washer reservoir can leak a little while driving sporty, maybe it's that?
Verus engineering sells some caps for those that seal it off better.

Wrong area…

You’re smelling coolant from the radiator, so check to see if it’s overflowing from the overflow tank.

Check the tank when it’s cold. Make sure it’s in its neutral fluid position.

Otherwise, it’s not uncommon to smell it lightly if you have a super keen sense of smell, like I do!

Came back form a dealer and they tested all system under pressure...found no issues. Its been going on for a year now.

If it helps- I test drove 4 g29s before landing in my current one. Every one of them had a faint coolant smell at the front of the engine on the drivers side. Including my current one.

If I had to guess it’s something to do with pressure venting from the sealed system and normal.

I’ve had a few caymans/boxsters and they all smell like coolant as well
