• A staggered wheel setup is offered for both automatic and manual transmissions, featuring 19” front and 20” rear M style 800 wheels.
• The Manual Transmission is part of the Pure Impulse Pack, which comes also with shadow line and red brake calipers. However, it’s not clear from the current information if this pack includes other options or differences.
• The visualizer isn’t fully updated yet with all the recent changes, so the actual badges on the rear and sides may vary, along with other potential modifications.
• The car can be ordered today and I got a delivery estimate of mid May 2024.

In person (on a m440i), I noticed that the San Remo color appears much darker and less vibrant than it does in the visualizer.
Yeah, it doesn't look anything like it does on the visualizer. Good representation here: https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-...Type=spotlight

I am intrigued by the nearly matte black finish on the A pillar.

My experience with the visualiser is that the colors are always waaay off.

Sanremo green topic here might be a better reference for the color

If I can’t see it in person I would never take a chance to order it simply based on online photos.

800M for the 19/20s, hmmm. As it’s a requirement to get the staggered with MT, I’m going to have to get used to the Cerium Grey I guess. I don’t know whether to be surprised or not if there’s truly no solid jet black option in lieu of the CG/Blk on the staggered setup.

Yeah, it would be unfortunate to limit the choices, but I do understand that on a smaller run of cars expected their hands may be tied.

Saw the note about the red calipers, also that it might be just an option, but if it's also part of the package that'd be a small bummer as well (at least for anyone that didn't prefer them). I don't think either would prevent me from ordering but it's a reminder that some options might get limited.

(I'd think caliper color would still be a choice but can certainly see where wheel options could be reduced).

If green is only for the MT, that's kind of fun, it'd make the MT car instantly recognizable. Someday down the road that might be a plus.

Voice mail from my dealership today didn't have any new info, just checking if I was still interested. Their guess was that it'd be a 2025 model and not able to be ordered until at least this summer. I'm not calling this right or wrong (especially since I've seen a lot that says this could be around the corner here), just sharing a data point from an dealership.

They are 800 M 19"/20" (bicolor Jetblack) which to me are different from the Cerenium Grey. They are not available in the visualiser (yet). On my spec sheet however there is a tiny picture of the car and as far as I can see there is black on the parts that are cerenium on the known current 800 M’s

The dealer configurator displayed all existing colors as well as two new ones. He specifically chose Frozen Grey as an alternative to my preferred San Remo color and was able to spec the MT. So I’m not sure if choosing any of the other colors would cause issues with the Manual Transmission combination. However, all the colors were visible in his configurator.

That would be good indeed. I admittedly was making an assumption based on the known 800 style, so if it indeed has more black I’ll be a happy camper.

It looks a lot closer to a metallic BRG in those photos.

It reminds me a bit of an audi "individual" color. Someone in the neigborhood here has one when the sun hits it it gets a slight yellow shine to it. In the shade it becomes darkgreen.

The matte color "Frozen Dark Green", the gloss San Remo Green Metallic. Ynguldyn cleared this up in a prior post.

This is Frozen Dark Green.

Thanks for the images.
I’ve looked at a few matte colors and some have looked pretty good in certain situations but I think that I have decided I am basically a metallic paint person.
It’s a little bit of a moot point anyway since the different type of care required for a matte color is just too worrying for me to consider getting a car painted with matte paint.

This new MT gives the opportunity for a direct comparison between the two paint types.

Apart from the color, the issue of the gear knob is interesting. The pre-production photos show a knob like the M2. However, these visualizations show the regular setup as in the 20i 6MT. I wonder what it will be like in the end.

Smart observation. It seems the visualizer might be incorrect, especially considering that the 800 M style wheels are also wrongly depicted. As I previously mentioned, in the quote I received from my dealer for a M40i MT, there are four small images of the car. In these images, the 800 M style wheel in bicolor black is clearly evident. Additionally, the gear knob is the same as in the pre-production photos, unlike the one in the 20i MT and in the visualizer.

There's the option of having it wrapped in a matte/satin PPF: protects the paint and gives it that matte paint look.

Not a cheap option (of the order $5-7k usd) but if you want it, you want it

The BMW M manual gear knob was long considered classic and ergonomically superior. Have upper extremities evolved since proliferation of texting to warrant the redesign?

San Remo green is an awesome colour. Under bad light conditions the colour looks very dark. And from far away you might even think the car is black. Under spot light, or better, under sun light, the green shines with full of yellow sparkles. Don't get me wrong, it's not a show off colour. San Remo Green is very classy, like a british cup of tea sprinkled with bits of ///M Heritage on it. The colour is a real head turner. Of course, mix it with a cognac interior, and here you go: Welcome to the Gentlemen's Club!

Edit: one shot under neon light (LED), one shot under sun light.
