Z4 M40i rated 9/10 by Slash Gear
Another stellar review for the Z4, reviewer cannot stop thinking about it since he turned in the keys.

Perhaps has something to do with just the lack of roadsters remaining on the market. The Z4 is aging gracefully. |

I think it's beacause they released it together with the supra, all anyone could look at was the difference/similarity between both of them.
I think that has cooled down a bit and people are now looking more objectively at the car. And now with the addition manual gearbox they have a bit of hype and everything will maybe be a bit too positive

I find my Z a bit more practical than the other options at my disposal and I daily it with very few compromises.
Excellent car, so-so review. Author lost me when he called it a Beamer as I see 4 wheels on the car in the photo....But I do agree with all his "Pros".

This is the only car I own (my wife has an X3, but I think I've driven it 3 times in the year she's had it). IMO, it's the perfect car for someone who lives in a big city and doesn't have to drive often.
It's perfect for weekend road trips (can fit two carry-ons plus some other stuff in the trunk), gets great fuel economy (when you want it to) and is easy to park. When the time comes, I'm going to have a hard time replacing it.

I agree with most of the article except the statement that the Z4 isn't practical, it's my DD and my wife has a 2020 A5 convertible, the only issue we have is which one to take on vacations. If we go out with other couples either they drive or we meet them. The trunk is big enough even for our biggest grocery store hauls, if we purchase something that doesn't fit we have it delivered. Unless you have kids or grandkids there's no need for anything bigger.

I fondly remember days before kids and grandchildren when a two seater could do it all for me. Now we need a pickup truck, an SUV, and an AWD coupe to cover all the bases. The convertible is for when we leave everyone else behind (wondering how they are going to survive without us).

You're right! There should be some kind of certification of car experts like passing the bar or the CPA test or medical boards because reviewing cars is a matter of life and death and only experienced professionals should have opinions and write articles.
