Exclamation New Mercedes S-Class Leaks Out! Showing Wildly Modern Interior!

WOW!!! That's what I call a Total Transformation!!!!!!!!!

I like it more than I thought I would after hearing how the design language was shifting more towards their current styling like on their E and GT Class.
That interior, dash, odometer screen, etc are foking BANANAS!!!

Thoughts?

This S-class also appears to have the same new Supersport steering-wheel design from the updated E-class, which has touch-sensitive capability that tells the car's driver-assistance systems if the driver's hands are on the wheel. Mercedes-Benz CEO Ola Kallenius has said before that the S-class would offer Level 3 autonomy, meaning it can operate and monitor the environment without intervention from a driver under most conditions.

Expected to carry the codename W223, the next-generation S-class's exterior design is less surprising, as it mostly follows the same design trends seen on Benz's smaller sedans. We expect it to be powered by a range of inline-six and V-8 engines, some with hybrid assistance; an all-electric version called EQS is also on the way. It will certainly get the AMG high-performance treatment, too, following the debut of the standard models.

Mercedes has not yet confirmed when exactly that debut will happen, but we think it'll happen before the end of 2020. That means the S-class is likely to arrive in the U.S. market sometime in 2021, either as a 2021 or 2022 model.

i like old fashioned interiors....the new one looks nasty and synthetic.

S-class peaked in 2007 with the W221. This now, again, looks like an E-class from the back.

All I see is cheap TV screens instead of proper brightwork, nice gauges or just tangible luxury things in general. Every econobox now has touchscreens everywhere, so where does the extra cash go inside the cabin these days?

I'm sure we will all warm up to the exterior, but the interior is shockingly bad in my opinion. The W222 interior so so opulent and extravagant with its flowing lines, round vents, diamond stitching on the dash, piping, etc. This looks like a dressed up Model 3 in comparison.

I don't understand the logic here, maybe they figure that since Tesla has stolen the mojo of the S-class when it comes to the people's attention toward new automotive trends they had to appeal to the tech crowd? Going with another opulent and traditional looking cabin like that of the W222 may have been playing it too "safe." Only time will tell whether this gamble pays off. Personally I prefer Bentley's approach to modern interior design.

not a fan of the new exterior design style of Merc but this interior looks like its been designed by graphic designer.. im not sure its better than before.. Merc should play with screens shape etc to make it look more organic if they ll take the screen out of the dash..
Porsche nailed the best interior of this era with Taycan for me.. crazily yummy..

I can't believe this is the direction that MB is going. Looks worse than the outgoing in every way.

Well... If I know MB... Once the finished product hits streets. It'll be the Nicest in class as always. With the AMG variant as lust worthy as ever.

That interior is hideous and a Tesla ripoff.
Tesla has screen double the size and way better tech. MB about to lose lots of loyal old Sclass owners- hopefully new 7 will be great but I doubt it with BMW giant grill styling.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. I was really excited to see what the new C63 was going to bring but it looks like it's adopting this same dual screen layout and a sea of gloss black not to mention a 4cyl
