Well I picked up the z06 last week. I understand the corvette isn't everyone's favorite but I love it. I thought the S65 in my old m3 was a monster..

Haha well helpfully the 190 isn't for too much longer. Got my bid in for the 330 so then my name will work!

Hey my man you mind PMing me some details on this thing. MSRP, monthly payment, buy/lease etc etc. I am in the market for a new car in approx. 6 months when my cts-v goes back. This is the exact setup I want, give me your impressions etc etc if you don't mind.

I have a Z06 and it is great! Go buy one and don't worry about what other people think.

Looks like GM may be replacing on the blowers on the Z06 due to all the issues. It is really undersized.

I thought the issue was cooling... does the smaller blower have to run at a higher psi resulting in overheating?

What's the max CFM of the blower?

What size would you recommend?

What are the specific issues with the blowers that you referenced?

Well compared to the LS9 the ZR1 had, the C7 Z06 uses a 1.7l supercharger that sping 5000 rpms than the C6 ZR1 2.3l supercharger.

The ZL1 and 2nd Gen CTS-V use the 1.9l that spins maybe 2k more than the 2.3l. That would have been the size used but they needed something that would fit under the hood and they wouldn't need to re-work it.

The C7 Z06 has been having issues with it overheated and pulling timing which causes it to loose a lot of power and going into limp mode. Its very well documented on many Vettes sites.

1.9l or bigger is what should have been on the car from the start. They formed the 1.7l to fit into the C7 when they just needed to make the hood a bit bigger to fit a 1.9l in there.

I have a buddy who owns a 15' Stingray and it's a beast.

Can't imagine how much more it would be with 650HP+650LBTQ.

Whole different level of shitting your pants.

A few months ago, I rode in a student's manual transmission C7 Z06 with Z07 perf pack. The student was an intermediate level lapping participant, and I had certified him as a solo in a different car. The student scared the crap out of me during the 20 minute stint as he got the car sideways a few times. I learned later he had the car stability control in "race mode" (little bugger). I had never experienced what 650HP/650ft-lbs torque, grip, handling and braking that felt like this in a road car before, bar none. It blew me away, and I could not stop ramblling like a kid after that experience, even as a passenger. Even when I got home, my wife had to order me to shut up ... LOL

Z07 Performance Package includes:
Z07 suspension with Magnetic Selective Ride Control.
Carbon-ceramic Brembo brakes.
P285/30ZR19 front and P335/25ZR20 rear Michelin® Pilot® Super Sport® Cup 2 tires.
Splitter Package and carbon fiber ground effects.
