Was reading 6post and also have noticed the M6 Coupe is gone from the website... Some guy also said he was trying to place an order for an F13 M6 and they said production has been discontinued for already? I thought EOP was slated for 6/18, is this true?

Based on the EOP date for the MY2017 6 Series and M6, MY2018 F13 production would normally have started in March if those models were going to continue production.

Have any MY2018 F13 M6 been built over the past couple months? Is the coupe shown in the MY2018 M6 ordering/pricing guide? If not, perhaps it was indeed discontinued with the end of MY2017 production at the end of February? Or maybe it will simply experience a delay between model years in the US just as the M3 is right now?

Unfortunately, we do not have an MY2018 production schedule yet, so we don't have any official confirmation on whether the MY2018 F13 began production 3/17 as we'd have expected nor whether it will end 6/18 as stated in the OP. The EOP dates listed there are based on inside information that has generally proven reliable, but sometimes things change and dates shift.

I really wish we would get the big X5 Diesel engine. I wonder if I could purchase one in Germany and have it imported to Texas as there are no Diesel emission regulations in Texas...

The X3 diesel model sounds appealing to me but not at 200 hp. What's with the lack of power?

No you can't. US certifies vehicles for sale in the US (safety/emissions), not the states (except CA and more stringent emissions in CA and CA-following states such as NY, MA).

Actually you can if your willing to pay to have the test done or wait 10 years and then the car qualifies as a classic and you don't have to

I believe it's 25, and if you wanted to beat that as well, you could buy a bunch of the cars but you'd have run tests and crash them all before you got the one.

We have two of them. I hope they continue. They are just wonderful. Probably don't check the boxes for those with a heavy right foot, but for the rest of us, they are just dandy, and they have enough scoot for us.

Yes, but it has 295 foot pounds of torque. I found the D to be more engaging that the 2.8i for most all my driving. If you are going to track the car, then its probably different. And getting 44 mpg on the hiway at 62 mph is just wonderful.

Some talk of this in another thread, but did F13 production end a year earlier than expected?
