Inner spring mattress suggestions

So like the title says I'm looking for suggestions for a new durable and quality mattress. If it's going to last I don't mind spending a bit of money. Last year I let the wife pick out our mattress and she bought a medium firm latex hybrid from Nest bedding. It's ok but I feel like it's somewhat hard to move on (changing positions) while sleeping, also it's too firm for my liking. I've read memory foam beds you really sink into and changing positions is even more difficult. Recently I went on a trip and slept on a hotel inner spring mattress and felt like it was heaven, I could move around so easily. It also slept really cool. I'm convinced I need to go back to a traditional inner spring and the wife agrees.

In the past I've owned the Beauty Rest Black series and it was a lumpy mess after two years. Over the past few days I researched the Stearns and Foster brand and they have a lot of complaints over durability and early sagging. It seems Saatva mattresses have the same issues. Yes I need to go to a few stores and try some out, but I was curious if anyone had a mattress that has lasted a few years that they absolutely recommend. Thanks in advance

Hotel mattresses get switched out quite frequently.

Have you considered a custom latex were you can move/switch layers?

If you must go inner spring, just buy a cheap very firm and then add a 1-2 inch latex topper. No reason to pay big bucks for pillow tops and foam layers which will compress.

I had a tempur hybrid. It had springs and gel or foam. Best mattress ever. I got a bigger bed and my other half thought I was crazy to spend $5k on a mattress so we bought a different brand but same type. Dumbest move I ever made. I miss that mattress.

Have you tried adding a foam top to the Nest? I bought a Tuft and Needle mattress and added a 3" foam top and it's very comfortable.

i just got a hybrid; and wish I went all spring. not going to get any clarity on the internet; on top of that the mattress branding game makes it near impossible to comparison shop. got to sleep in one and find just right I guess

We bought a Saatva mattress last year when the Beauty Rest Black Series we had needed replacing.

Overall I have been pleasantly surprised with how well it sleeps. I like a firmer mattress and my wife likes the softer side...but I got a topper to firm my side up.

But I'm not a good source as I only average about 4hrs sleep per night on anything I sleep on. Been that way my whole life.

+1 on foam topper

Call the hotel and ask them what kind of mattress you slept on.

I prefer foam mattresses, the softer the better. Plus a topper.

IKEA is where we have bought our last two mattresses. Satisfied customer.

Try tempurpedic LUXEbreeze firm. I will be getting one on Black Friday - They should offer $300-500 off.

The queen size retails for 4,499.
