So after a quick discussion, thought it be good to share some photos using either purchased or built lightboxes.

Maybe we can share some tips.

I simulated a light box by using construction paper

I found that waving around an LED flashlight in circles above the lenses eliminated shadows on a long exposure. Compare the first two pictures.

No flashlight

With flashlight

With the flashlight method, you could see the movement of your flashlight from the lens reflection. You can photoshop that out by taking two pictures from the same angle, one with the flashlight and one without, then crop the lens reflection from the picture without the flashlight into the one with the flashlight. Hope this makes sense.

Just threw some paper together and umbrella for lighting.



Used the glorious 85 1.8 for this.
