The Ukraine wire plants seem to serve only EU car assembly plants. No issues with Japanese or US production so far - only European. Wiring harnesses are highly specialized and since the Z4 is made only at Magna chances are there is no backup WH supplier. Those things are custom made model by model and even vary by option package.

Things could be worse. Your car could have been on that VW boat that just burned and sunk.

Just read confirmation that Magna will shut down Z4 and 5 series production starting Monday for at least (!) 2 weeks. They will continue to make Mercedes and Jaguar cars.

This will only drive up the prices on available inventory from the dealers as many of them are already selling cars over MSRP.

BMW certified preowned cars are also seeing prices jacked up.

I'm new to the forum - I have been wanting this car for a very long time, Loaded M40i. Much greater things to be concerned about, but still trying to be excited about this as well.

Welcome to the forum! There are a lot of good resources here for before and after you’ve taken delivery. I would highly recommend performance center delivery if you can make it work. Either way you are going to love the car.

Performance Center delivery is part of the plan, but they are sort of in pause for imports as well. My CA forward this note last week from the PC. So I was actually surprised to get the production status - everything will work out sooner or later - thankful to have a Vin # now.

Congrats on the VIN! It will be built now. Take a look at some older posts on this forum to get a good flavor of the stop sales.
