You do realize I'm no stranger to that list, right? I've done or thoroughly inspected every item you mentioned on my E46 since they share the same issues. Side note, replacing the RTABs was the biggest bitch ever. My car had the old style where you had to remove the lip first. It was awful. That's a job I'd happily pay someone to do. Let me see if I have a photo of the aftermath of the RTABs. |

Yeah similar issues indeed. The E36 carries a few more issues probably just due to age. |

Getting a Honda service while being a Patel is fun.
The SA comes into the waiting room, and proclaims "Mr. Patel, your car is ready". Instantly, 3-5 Patel's stand up, walk towards the SA, and see that it's not their car. On the return trip back to their seats, they strategically refill their foam coffee cups, and grab a few sugar cookies. A few moments later, the owner of the car emerges from the bathroom, and claims his vehicle...not before refilling his coffee cup of course.

So the piece of metal/rubber that's bent up around the 10 o'clock area used to be flat and around the whole bushing. It sat flush with the trailing arm. I decided not to purchase BMW's $600 RTAB removal tool and used a ball joint press instead. But for the ball joint tool to work, I had to get rid of that lip on the bushing. Since the metal part of the bushing is aluminum, I got an air hammer, threw a chisel on there and started cutting away. Once I got most of the lip removed/bent up, the ball joint tool could work. But since the bushings were still original and aluminum swells when it corrodes, I struggled pushing it out. If my buddy wasn't lending a hand, there's no way I could have finished it in a day. It was such a bitch. If I ever have to do it again, I'm going with the poly ones that just pop in.
