Absolutely, the day I picked up my Z4 the GM of my dealership overheard our conversation and told him to open up the accessories store. He also gave me a set of the M logo valve stem caps.
In addition, on both my wife’s 228i and my Z4 my salesman gave me a set of BMW rubber floor mats when I placed my orders. Since 1991 when I ordered my first BMW which was a 325i I haven’t paid for the better floor mats. If you don’t ask, you don’t get. The worst that can happen is that they say no. |

I've been bald since I was 17 so I'm always wearing a hat usually a pork pie. It's definitely a must in a convertible car.
But I did get a free BMW performance hat when I picked up my car. Very cool. |

I think you will need to get a purple hat to match your awesome looking car!

Another Floridian here. I've always worn a baseball cap when driving top down in the Z4 and previous convertibles, mostly to reduce glare. However, as I get waaay too much sun anyway (golf, yard work, etc.) a hat and sun block are necessities for me when driving top down.

I dig this one out when the weather cools off a bit. It’s too hot for this time of year.

I'd really say it's on the carmakers to make this work correctly here. Polarized sunglasses are much better than simply tinted for almost everything else. For sure, I think it's because on sunny days you actually realize you're getting burnt and do something about it. Definitely better across the board. Last edited by Argo; 08-28-2023 at 04:00 PM.. |

Yesterday I think I found a solution to finding a well made non-polarized pair of sunglasses as I was in Naples, FL and stopped at the Airport Pilot Shop located at the airport. As many of you know pilots also need non-polarized sunglasses so they can read their instruments, pilot stores and websites that cater to this specialized market carry a nice selection of sunglasses that will "play nice" with our HUD's.
Serengeti still makes what they call a "Drivers Gradient" lens that they sell to pilots and drivers that are non polarized on many of their styles. In addition, they make them with prescription lenses using the same technology for many of their frames. I really liked the style of the navigator frame in the link below and am waiting to receive a price for Serengeti to make them with a prescription. https://www.serengeti-eyewear.com/us...ello-2665.html This amber color gradient non polarized lens is very similar to the color and clarity of my old pair of Serengeti sunglasses that I posted on page 2 of this thread. They were amazing and the best pair of drivers that I have ever owned. |

I went 'cheap' and ordered non-polarized prescription sunglasses from Zenni. 130 odd bucks, including shipping. Keep them in the car.
