Anyone convert their M40 to quad pipes from the 2 rectangular outlets?
I really prefer the look of quad exhaust pipes a la M3/M4. Did anyone do this conversion on an M40?

I did for a while, remus exhaust, but it sounded bad, so i switched back to the stock end muffler.

Yes, I have replaced my stock exhaust with an AC Shnitzer four pipe one. IMO it looks so much better than stock. It sounds nice on a cold start.
I'm still running in so I haven't heard it at it's best. I'm happy with my decision. |

There might be an option to replace just the tips? Is there enough room from the main muffler canister to attach a new pipe that then bends and eventually terminates in a dual or quad rounded shape?
Probably easier said than done. Some shops are pretty good at fabricating but getting the raw materials might not be exactly easy. |

I don't know what is possible. The AC/Remus tips require dual pipes from the muffler, so i don't think it's an option. *edit* also the carbon tips are close to 1200 usd for remus, i imagine the AC Schnitzer ones will be the same.

Agree , i would not spend more than 2K for a rear section exhaust a, any other vendors. Checked IND they have Eisenmann rear muffler for 4K

Unlike the rest of the G-series OEM back boxes, the G29 exhaust tips are welded onto the tailpipes, which exit the muffler at an approximate 45 degree angle.
Something like these tips could probably to work by cutting off the stock outlet pipes from the muffler, recycling the old valve, and welding the new ones on centered within the rear diffuser outlets. https://www.aliexpress.us/item/32568...2usa4itemAdapt |
