Can’t say that I see much or any bronze, assuming those are the wheels you are talking about.
That green reflecting off the SSG makes it look like aventurine green from Porsche. And those wheels look terrific.

You are correct about them being easy to detach and they don’t take up too much space in the trunk.

Just give me a baseball cap and a good pair of sunglasses for a chilly or really sunny day and I am good to go! 😎
Hair?
Oh yes. I remember that.

After seeing your picture I was going to mention in my post that in your case it doesn’t apply and is a non issue but I was trying to be kind!

I totally agree about removing the mesh windscreen. The visibility is much much better without it, and the little bit of extra wind in your hair is not annoying at all… actually kind of invigorating.

You all are right re the cerium grey wheels - not much bronze in there at all in real life photos and they do look good.

But, now I'm kinda digging the M V-spoke 772M wheels with the silver rim.

I also like the 18" option for a bit softer ride and maybe more tire selection? I'd likely be swapping the OEM tires for A/S's since I live in the Great Lakes area and would be frequently driving in 30-40 F temps.

I'll have to play around with the configurator a bit.

I'm extremely happy with how the 18s look and feel, however they're not available if you option the manual (and there's really no good reason for it either).

Unless perhaps they’re afraid the manual will burn through 18” tires too quickly. Just a WAG.

I would go with the staggered setup and then buy a set of winter or A/S on 18’s. That way you can go with the spirit of the handschalter. I do think the staggered will be better with the manual if you drive in a spirited fashion!

It shouldn't make any difference to the life of the tire though, given they're the exact same width as the 19" options.

It shouldn't make any difference. I think the take rate for 18" wheels on the M40i has been pretty low historically and they figured that manual buyers are hard core and probably even more unlikely to order the 18" wheels. So they decided to not offer them.

Yeah, almost the exact same due to the increased sidewall aspect ratio.

Offering them would be essentially "no cost" to them though. Even if you "lose $600 in value" by choosing that option, some of us genuinely prefer smaller wheels.

Has anyone been successful in ordering the alcantara package and/or have an idea of what it looks like? Thanks.

This car here has it, and you can see it pretty well. Just the tops of the seats and the door cards are alcantara.

Nice to look at but not sure about maintaining the Frozen Paint. Might look to getting a 2025 at some point but would get the dark green in a normal paint & 8ZF.

For the US, both green colors are only available with a manual for now. Who knows, maybe BMW will make them available on the auto for the US next model year (2026).

Did anyone make out to the BMW CCA event in FL this weekend? Bmw brought their Z40i in frozen green with manual.

This is the concourse at Amelia Island Ritz, Carlton.
