My 325 has the back of seat storage nets but then again, it depends on how the cars come as standard into each country.

My e46 323 has storage nets as standard back in 1998 even.

i know this was a problem before, some cars came without the nets, and some with the nets. mine came with them. from what i understand you can tell your dealer and they will put them on for you when they get the supplies.

the bmw forum on edmunds went over this pretty extensively, one of the members actually emailed bmwna about it.

hope that helps!

I think that the nets are only with the Sports Package

My 325i didn't have them. I emailed BMWUSA and asked about it and they said it was a mistake at the factory, and that my dealer could install them for me. Since then they have been installed free of charge. You should check with your dealer about it. It does add a much better look to the seats, even if you don't use them.

Hey, I asked BMWUSA and they told me that indeed they need to be installed free of charge, but they are not available yet. How did you get them? Dealer told me that if BMWUSA doesn't tell them so, or issue a TSB for it, they won't install them for free.

Yes, as others have said they are all supposed to have them. Apparently some earlier ones didn't by mistake. Where did you get your car? I noticed that a silver one on the showroom floor at Kuni BMW didn't have them.

They're supposed to be standard, but I wouldn't cry too much if they forgot mines. People always leave s*#t in them anyways.

my 325i didn't come with the nets on the back so i was pretty disappointed about that. i thought the nets were included when i bought the car but i guess it didn't. i read some other reply saying that you're suppose to tell the delearship that you want the nets, which i think is FREAKIN' RETARDED!

BMW USA changed them to standard after the first batches were sold, but they said if the owners without them wanted them retrofitted free they must just tell their dealer to do it

Whats retarded about that ?

Cool! I'll go to the dealer again on Monday. They were supposed to call me  E90, how do you know everything about everything BMW? You work at a dealer or are you a BMW engineer?

When I got my car in May, it did not have the nets. My friend just got a new 325i and it has the nets on the back of the seat. After seeing what they look like, I like my seats better without the nets. I won't even ask for them. Look at a vehicle with the nets and decide for yourself.
