I knew I had read is somewhere, here is an article on the factory toping the JD Powers survey having the highest quality of any European manufacterer, Munich factory was second and a Mercedes factory third...

Actually the sedans are built in
Munich ( Germany Also makes E91 Touring) Regensburg ( Germany, also makes 1 Series and will make coupe) Leipzig ( new plant in Germany ) Rosslyn ( South Africa ) |

And BMW Werks Shenyang- China
Though you'll probably never see one, they produce for the China market only and I think they do so from knockdown kits as opposed to a full up plant like Leipzig. |

My vehicle is on order and not even in the system as of yet. Is the VIN available as soon as production starts? If not, when is it issued? I am trying to find out where it will be produced.
