We Americans, especially California and New England, will sue at the drop of a hat, prob. reason why BMW makes it soo difficult to perform a certain task.

When I test drove an E90 at the dealer I noticed this problem also. I found that putting in the key fob, and pushing it one more time (like how you have to push it to take it out, but don't take it out) worked for me to have the windows working again. I didn't have my foot on any pedal and I didn't have to press the start button either.

I just noticed that if I put the key in the door to close the sunroof, it not only closes the sunroof and windows it also makes the mirrors fold in. When I hit the unlock button on the key, the mirrors unfolded. I was not aware of this feature. I do not think it is in the manual.

yeah i have the same problem with my E36 sunroof, it will work if the engine is on, but if the key is in accessory, it will only allow the windows to roll down, and not the sunroof. how weird.

If you have turned the car off via the start/stop, but have not yet removed the FOB, you only need push the start/stop once to close the sunroof, and you can remove the FOB simply by pushing/pulling.
Wasn't aware of the two push possibility, will that keep my radio on longer than about 2 minutes while I'm washing the car? |
