Funny thing is I like that the Z4 is lighter and smaller. If it shifts better and has more steering feedback over the M2, I'm in. I'm not knocking the M2, at all, just know what I'd rather have of the 2. |

One of the things that I’m still not used to is the font/coloring on the main LCD gauges. I find it vague on the rpm side when shifting myself. I DO have the hud and probably should make use of its sports mode. But yea as a manual driver without hud i would be rather difficult to know exactly where in the rpm band the engine is in. The auto is handling that 99% of the time so I’m not focusing much on rpm. |

For whom the G87 is a toy/weekend/track car, the Z4 is a car to consider. For those of us who only have one car, sadly it’s not an option, and the G87 is the only one. Wish I could get a toy like a Z4 manual… Toys normally cost more because they are niche and a lifestyle product. You guys that can should get one and keep it. |

I know it will never happen- but imagine a z4 M instead of the m40i
Imagine the return of the M Roadster. A goodbye reminiscent of the first M Roadster when it was a z3. As a former z3 2.8 new in 99- I dream about that old car and how special it felt. |

Just a thought - should we think about the AT/MT Z4 comparison more like the 135i/1M comparison? 1M was/is not a real 'M', but it has improvements that the 135i did not have and no more horsepower than 135is. Handles better than the 135i and has not suffered in the depreciation environment.
Maybe a better way to frame the comparison for folks. |

I'm certainly not the target audience, however I am really happy this exists. I think it will help the target audience stop complaining about the M2 and get what they really want. We can all get along.

It’d be interesting if they make an MZ4 or Z4M. If they do they should just make it one version and put out the best first, go straight to MZ4CS with the S58. Better the S58 go in BMW’s two seater than Toyota’s. Both is also good tho.
Fingers crossed on manual and xdrive options to choose from 😅.
