I have Misano Blue but not every color is available from BMW. I like BMW’s touch up kit because it includes a clear coat. After BMW, Dr Colorchip is the next best choice.

Do NOT get paint from bmw. It won’t even match and is very hard to handle.
Go to the Dr ColorChip website and order from there. Very easy to use and exact match. |

No touchup paint will be a 100% match, that being said my Misano Blue was close enough and I don’t have a matching issue.

Just finished doing some touch up on my San Francisco Red Z. Took me a while to get the desired results from Dr Colorchip. I learned to use the paint sparingly which helped reduce the amount of effort dissolving the excess. Used a squeegee for the areas on lower panel behind front wheels that was rough (my car is a 2019). I think the area looks new now. Very happy with the results and would encourage trying it. My paint match was perfect. Before and after below.

I've used the BMW kit in Phytonic Blue on our X5 with very good results.
Went looking for a Thundernight kit and it isn't available from BMW yet.
