That's all I use it for ...except for flash lights.

And the app works, even if I'm not in one of the supported countries (Norway).

New Android version out. Looks like all functionality has now been removed as all I can do is see service requirements. Unable to lock or unlock or set heater

I asked when they will introduce it in more countries. No exact date yet, but customer service told me that it should be available during November in Finland.

Just installed the myBMW app in Australia using the UK as my location and while it feels like it’s missing things from connected, it is much more reliable so far than connected at sending commands to the car and refreshing data

It is has been update a couple of times.

Functionality is almost identical but it looks nicer (personal). I have a feeling the connection is better.

You can't honk the horn with the My BMW app.

With the updates: departure time programming, pre heating and cooling, 360 view and head light signal are now available.

New in the My BMW app:
Connections between car and phone are visible (WiFi / Bluetooth)
Total KwH charged each month and individual sessions and also electric driven Km / miles are visible for PHEV

Not a real big difference overall expect the design.
