Anyone looking forward to Assassin's Creed - Odyssey?
I spent a fair bit of time playing the one right before it - Origins, and really enjoyed it. Excellent visuals, good gameplay, etc. Logged about 120+ hours on Origins which is a lot for me.
So I'm really looking forward to this one on Oct 5th as they say they are going to build a few expansion DLC's for it to keep players interested for all of 2019 as well (since there will be no new AC in 2019). Should be good - at least I'm hoping so.

To be fair, I liked the story line but the gameplay has gone down compared to the previous ones. Crazy frame dips(I'm playing on a gtx1080) and choppy game play is annoying. The open world thing is new and imo is deviating away from the sectioned off maps where this game shined.

Ive been playing Origins for a while, one of the few games I can get into. Liked Black Flag until it glitched out and left me stranded with no way to continue. Can't wait till Odyssey comes out.

As much as I loved the Desmond/Ezio saga, the franchise did come out with some decent product afterwards, such as Rogue, Syndicate and Origins. Especially Rogue, that game is very underrated. I didn't finish Unity as it felt like a chore. Origins was good but it didn't feel like AC. I have the same feelings about Odyssey but I'm still going to buy it, although I should finish Unity first.

III was the last one that I played/completely destroyed. Also the very last game that I submerged myself into. Once I had beaten the game and unlocked everything there was to unlock - pages found/hunting missions, side missions, etc. the boys and I used to take turns seeing how long we could last in New York slaying everyone insight. We would stack bodies so high the graphics engine would start to crap out on us and poor Connor had a hard time standing up.
I've looked at the newer games would like to play them, but my free time isn't what it used to be; I just have too much going to be able to enjoy playing. |

Well, I'm really enjoying it. I've logged probably close to 100 hours now and no where near done. There is an insane amount of space to cover and various side missions...admittedly somewhat repetitive. But I haven't leveled out yet either, so even the experience points are worth something. And the visuals are excellent.
I'm glad I purchased it...I'll be playing this for a long time I think.

Origins and Oddessy are definitely an improvement on the series. Although in some way the game now feels like it should be called Witcher's Creed due to the gameplay similarities.
On another note, it's high time they make an Assasins Creed Japan, which will probably feel like an open world Ninja gaiden but that's fine with me. |

Played Odyssey for a lot of hours even before they release the DLC. The game play is pretty good, a bit different than normal AC games but still in the same realm. DLC was fun to play through as well.

I am enjoying AC Odyssey. I've got over 180 hours on it so far. Which I think is a crazy amount of time for a video game.
