I don't like seeing slimmer lugs on a watch that was previously introduced with thicker lugs . So, as much as I would like to have a watch with a extended power reserve I will be sticking to my Rolex Submariner 114060 .
Besides that I am happy to see an Oysterflex band on a Sky Dweller

As much as I'd love to have a 41mm Sub (no date) and the longer power reserve, I'll stick with mine I think.

It was a combination "50th birthday, 10th wedding anniversary and Captain's upgrade" present from my wife. Swapping it out would be..... unwise.

And the ceramic bezel? LOVE IT in black. Not quite sure about blue or green-- Subs should be black, imho.

What are your guys thoughts on a SkyDweller? Looking to get into my first rolex (currently have a breitling that i'm very very bored of). Initially wanted to go GMT Batman or a Sub -- but the markup is sort of insane.

I was thinking a white face skydweller. Impressive watch.

Am i crazy or should i just pay up for a GMT?

depends if you really want the gmt or not

getting one at msrp is next to impossible, and if you are only looking at the SD because its close in price to the marked up GMT and not because you really want it, then youll regret not getting the GMT

Just picked one up. They are BEAUTIFUL and arguably the most impressive movement Rolex makes. However they are just as hard to get as many of the other Rolex models. The blue-face SkyD is actual more sought after than the Batman GMT and black Daytona.

Thanks for posting , that was my fave model as well .
Roman numbers look better to me because Rolex executes them better than other manufacturers , they're bold and imposing unlike Blancpain's slim and weak ones

Agree on the romans. They pull it off in a way where it doesn't look too traditional...good mix of classy and bold. Bonus pic of my roman (Wimbledon) datejust:

I looked at the Sky before I bought my TT CHNR in 2018. Thing that scared me away from the Sky was that it looks just about exactly like the Datejust (which is also a nice watch but way too expensive to look like the DJ). I'd love to see one in person (pretty sad when I know I likely will never actually see one at a dealer).

They look similar but absolutely no contest when you have them side by side in person. Plus the similarities don't bother me...The Daydate also looks similar to the Datejust but doesn't make it less desirable. IMO it's one of those things where "if you know, you know".

Since this is a BMW forum, I'd say it's like the average person thinking your M3 CS looks "just like" a 330i.

Probably wont find a SS but maybe a local AD has a PM they can show you for reference?
