And the ones you can find are almost as expensive as new. Most of the used examples I see are about the same price I negotiated on my 2021 build.

If you compare what you get with similar models by Audi and Porsche the Z4 is clearly undervalued, and rare. You end up with all kinds of expensive crap with a boxster when you try to build it to a Z4 equal regarding options. I started my search looking for a used one and realized it was a waste of time. To your pont, for a few thousand more I got a new one vs a 2019 with no options..

I read a couple articles that the Z4 has a target on its back and that 2024 will be the last year of production. Hopefully they'll rethink.

I recently checked trade in value of a Z4 (mine) and it wasn't good. In fact, it was horrible. I realize that doesn't dictate the rest of the market, but it's all the indication I need to hang on to mine.

Yep the Z4 is a bargain compared to the competition IMO
