Exclamation ► My Next Car...

Hey guys, the search has begun for my next car

This will be a daily driver and I narrowed it down to a few choices:

CPO 991 CS

Pros: I absolutely love the car, it is the perfect size for me and I don’t really care for any more space. Once the aero kit w/ wing & tint is installed, this car has almost reached cosmetic perfection in my eyes.

Depreciation took its toll which is a plus for me buying used and with the face lift/new 991.2 or 992 (how ever you want to see it) being around the corner, it may further help in depreciation. Overall, this car can be had for a bargain nowadays.

I drive my M3 in the winter with snow tires and looking at the CS, the ride height is about the same as the M3 which leads me to conclude I shouldn’t have any clearance issues as a daily driver nor issues in the winter with winter tires.

Cons: I always wanted a TT, who doesn’t :P, and this is not. I originally had a 997.2 TT on the list but the more I see it next to a 991 TT, the car looks so dated. For the price and sheer fact the 997.2 TT looking so dated to the newer, I can’t justify buying it anymore. The damn 991 TT set the bar so high  !

Everything about Porsche costs more than BMW; service, parts, mods, etc.

Also this would be my first rear engine car and am paranoid about someone rear ending me and causing massive damage.

CPO 970 TT

Pros: I personally like the style and look of the Panamera and love the interior. The car is crazy fast & practicality I got room for 4 and modest trunk space. With the addition of AWD, this is a great daily driver.

Depreciation is so huge on the Panamera this is a car is hard to ignore especially with the new Panamera around the corner. I’m hoping for a little more depreciation by the time I am ready to buy.

It might not be a 991 TT but it is still a TT .

Cons: The car doesn’t excite me nor does it feel like “me” when I drive it. When I walk up to my M3 I get a sense of joy/excitement, same with the 991 CS but the Panamera is just meh. Also I always had coupes and this would be my first sedan let alone such a big saloon such as the Panamera.

Again everything about Porsche costs more than BMW; service, parts, mods, etc.

New 2016 M4:

Pros: This is the only new car on my list. My current M3 is a great daily driver so transitioning to M4 I am expecting same feeling and drivability.

Having owned only BMWs, there is a sense of comfort in terms of forums, knowledge, modding, and dealership service. Moving to Porsche would be a whole new territory with many surprises to come both good and bad :P.

Unlike CPO Porsches, the M4 comes with BMW maintenance that is a huge plus and something I grew accustomed with.

Cons: I had x4 BMWs and always wanted a Porsche. I don’t mind the M4 and the fact that the car will be new is enticing but the Porsche options are a tough coin to flip.

Provided the 991 is as reliable as the later DI 997.2 cars, I'd choose the P-car. Something interesting, and different, provided you can swing it financially.

M4 or 991 C2S. I love the M3's as much as 911's and neither I've got experience with so can't help you much. 991 with the AeroKit ducktail is just damn gorgeous, though!

No trying to smart ass here, so don't search for any wrong flavour in my word's but wouldn't it be cooler to post up comparison picture's so none of us just give's you his/ her's suggestion from the top of their head?
At the end you heard our word's and then even went to get your car for them, wich probably would be much more preciser, when we had an picture of the desired car's in front of us.
To be honest upfront....forget the M4, BMW made the best car, all what come's after the ///E9X serie's are just copy cat's, wich can't even touch the styling, handling, performance nor heritage of it's predecessor's

I vote 991 C2S. I know you're concerned about maintenance on a Porsche, but it's not as bad as you think. They (Porsches) are reliable cars. Go for it man. I can see you are more excited by that than any of the others listed by wide margin. I love the 991, too.

The fact that 3 of the cars listed are Porsche's, might tell you something. It is time for a P-car.
