I’m in the waiting room at the dealership. They are predicting 1-1.5hrs. I’ll let you know how long it actually takes. I didn’t get a letter yet, but just went to mybmw garage online and it showed the recall was applicable, then went to my dealership and scheduled it as a recall.

After 2 hours they came over to say it may take a while longer, so they are getting me an Uber home and back when it’s ready. Hopefully it’ll be ready later today.

Update was completed yesterday and she’s back in the garage. I have to recode to remove the startup warnings but otherwise all good. And in other news, I got the recall letter today…

Car was in & out the same day, had a loner so all was good, almost. They overwrote some of my Bimmer Code changes so had a do over when I got home.
Noticed had to also update the Bimmer Code software.

Mine's in the shop tonight being updated. But then since I took it in, I asked them to check some rough engine and wheel vibration. Heck, if they have my car, let them chase down every minor issue. They lent me an M performance anyway.
