Frozen soft top?

I've wondered what could happen if the Z4 top was wet and then it froze. Could the ice expansion damage the fabric? I'd also hate to see salt getting embedded into the fabric!

I don't have my Z4 any more, but working on winning the lottery so I can own one again

It’s not much of an issue really. My convertibles have been out in snow and icy weather. Just don’t try to open the roof below about 5 degC.
Salt from the roads just needs washing off as when you wash the car. Once a year I use a Renovo clean and seal product 👍
