This strikes me as strange...

I don't know if this is because of the way the roof folds into the trunk, but the diameters of the trims are way off.

Diameters? Not sure I am seeing what you are seeing. Can you circle the piece at issue?

It looks like the trim piece to the rear of the door is ‘pushed in’ towards the top. While you are right that it’s a smaller diameter, if you look closely at the door trim and the rear trim, the plastic lines should follow. The door trim has the seal on the inside of the plastic trim.

What does the other side look like?

Both sides look the same. Two more pics attached. It must have just been a design decision when they engineered the top.

Agreed, definitely not a bug, just a design decision that resulted in the trim piece being smaller and mis-matched to the door window trim. Not a big deal, just interesting to note. Definitely looks better when the top is down...
