Z4 Manual-I’m officially 1st on the list at my dealer!
Came by today to drop G87 off for breakin svc also passenger door closes louder than drivers. Anyway when I picked up the G87 I asked SP about Z4 in manual. This was nov 30. He said yes they are and they don’t have a list yet. So I told him I want it and I am first on list. It’s confirmed and he starts ordering them 3/24. 3-4 months since it comes from Germany (where all BMWs are SUPPOSED TO COME FROM”. Anyway I get first dibs in March. 2 months away. This will be the car I keep. Most likely won’t take a depreciation hit and corp was here few days ago and they said this is the last car that BMW will really give it their all and make it a great car. Can’t wait. Will have it for summer.

Excellent! Save the Manuals! I’m still hoping the configurator opens up at the end of January. The Z4 isn’t made in Germany, but close in Graz, Austria by Magna Steyr

Of course many are still made in Germany. In general most of the X SUV vehicles are made in South Carolina, but most of the cars are made in Germany. The other notable factories sending to the US are South Africa (some 3 series) and Mexico (all 2 series coupes including M2 and some 3 series). Magna Steyr is quite reputable — they produce the Mercedes G-Class
