Looks to me that all models can be equipped by a proper (real) LSD.
On the m40i as stock, on the other models (maybe the m option packet required) as a €1300 option. For that kind of money I dont think this is a 'fake' LSD where only the rear brakes are managed to do some corrections (the 'poor mans' LSD so to speak)

German pricelist seems to indicate that the car will be available in Germany starting in November? The other thread with the official US specs indicates that the M40i will be a 2020 model. Wonder if that means car won't be available before August or September in the US?
Also, would really like to see a picture of the trunk … since they tout that it has so much more space than the old car. Which was surprisingly practical in terms of trunk. Even though they didn't want owners to load the side where the roof mechanism needed space to open the roof, it was still available for stowage for long trips with roof up. |

Anyone noticed the weight in the price list of the M40i. 1610Kg / 3549lbs.
This is 10Kg heavier then the E89 35is. I thought it should be 50Kg lighter then the prev gen. Last edited by zEdP; 09-21-2018 at 12:50 PM.. |

I noticed that as well, and had the same concerns. I am beginning to believe the statements made regarding a 50 kilo weight savings was specific to the fabric roof. They then proceeded to consume that weight savings, and then some.

No, only heated. But the M40i in the US will come late and sounds like it will be a 2020 model, not a 2019 like the smaller engine. So maybe that will have ventilated seats?

The official specs claim 9.9 ft.³. And, there's a pass-through for long items.
