GTFOH!!!!! LOL Thats funny. All their manuals are sloppy. No mechanical feel at all. Feels like they put too much into the dampers and bushings on the manuals. The first mod I bought for my M2 was the Rogue short throw (which still isnt installed).
BMW has heard the complaints, this Z4 manual allegedly has addressed them.
BMWblog raves about the shift action on the pre-production car they drove! Looking forward to peoples reactions once they take delivery.

I hope they offer San Merino Blue or Marina Bay Blue.

Wish they addressed it in the M2 LOL. Ive always liked the Z4. The SLK also. 2 door verts. Roadsters. Small. Fun. "Sorry cant drive tonight...my car only seats 2" LOL. Wonder what the build time is on these from date of prod to the dealer. They are made in Austria I think. When my X5 was being built it was quick cause they made in NC or SC. I think it was 45 days. My M2 (made in Mexico SMH) was 3 months.

My dealer just told me production starts in March and they hope to receive the first deliveries in June. 🤞

San Remo (and frozen) over cognac and the ID7, so many things to like in this car. Really glad they made it.

Looks beautiful & that's an excellent release color to show it off with. This shows that BMW can still design a decent front end & grill, when the team really wants to. Wish the other cars could get this nice simple infotainment screen as apposed to that big long curved mess with the kickstand leg on the top dash.

Just a glitch. They'll sort it out.

The BMW configurator seem pretty iffy.
According to the French site, San Remo green now shows as a color but there is no mention of manual transmission if it’s selected. In fact no mention of manual transmission at all.

In the german configurator, it is currently possible to select manual transmission and a cognac interior that has cognac door panels (though probably not the M-specific cognac/black seats).

This is not a problem in the german configurator, where you can choose other colors along with manual transmission. So yeah, give it a day or two.

I ordered a M40i Auto a week ago in Belgium in San Remo Green (non matte). I have the confirmed order sheet, so I suppose San Remo is available on both versions in most markets. Only the Cognac/black seats are exclusive to the MT.

That goes against what has been said previously I think.

San Remo green has previously been reported to be exclusive to the manual version. But if you have a confirmed order for an auto in the color…….i guess not 🤷‍♂️

I passed on a Z4 when I got my M440i convertible BUT....the lure of a 6 speed manual transmission is beckoning....love the color combo of San Remo and Cognac...

It has a little trouble putting the power down off the line with the current HP numbers. I can only imaging with 500

Yeah I'd give the sites a few days. I tried a translated version of the German site last night and it seemed that the manual only came with the frozen paint as a package, and changing to any other color at all removed the manual option. I doubt this is how it's supposed to be so I'm not too concerned about it yet. We've seen enough things saying the green can only come with the manual but not vice-versa so let's just let it play out.

Seats / interior colors - did anyone else notice in the announcement that in addition to the cognac / black piping there was black / blue piping? I think I'd probably go cognac either way, have had my eye on it for like a year or more since these manual transmission rumors started, but black with blue could yet be a consideration especially for a blue paint job. Hmm.

Will be interesting to see how wheels shake out too. German configurator let me put 5 of the 6 options on the car, the 18" option pulled the manual transmission but it was letting the others fly. But it didn't mention 19 + 20" only 19". So back to the "give it time" thinking.

BMWGirlFL thanks for sharing the site info, even if we're not sure on their accuracy right now it's a lot of fun to play around!!!
