My trusty 1980's Radio Shack digital meter occasionally has strange readings until I rotate the banana plugs in the sockets to clean out the oxidation. I also had to change out the test leads at one point, because one of them had some sort of loose connection near the probe end that would occasionally go wonky.

Funny thing is that I still reach past my Fluke on the workbench for the Radio Shack meter...because it cost me more in the 1980's than the Fluke did in current times.....

Not the Klein leads but I actually bought new leads about 6 months ago. Its worth a try though. Either way I'm going to keep the Klein just because I want to. Good idea though. Thanx.

I have a f650gs twin(detuned version of the f800gs) and for just a commuter I would definitely go 310. Stock Suspension sucks if you are over 150#, but it’s a fun light bike.

I bought a clutch pedal from a previous generation of my car, because it matches my pedals on my automatic and it happens to fit perfectly over my e-brake pedal. Now, all my pedals match. I feel you on this purchase.

Oddly enough, my younger affection for G.I. Joe's has been awoken again at the ripe age of 44. I have stayed away from camo damn near all my life as A.) I'm not a hunter and B.) I've never been in the military. In the past 6 months, I have bought ASRV military looking combat-esque gym pants, several olive green shirts and a couple different pair of camo basketball shorts for the gym.

Also recently purchased was camo cargo pants. Subconsciously I'm trying to figure out what weird damn phase this is I'm going through.

The trainer's were bought to accompany the olive green shirts. I honestly can't believe I'm typing this. What the hell has got into me?

After typing, I just realized that I have also purchased a G.I. Joe Cobra t-shirt (mostly as a joke because the logo looks like a giant red vagina), and several other designs or logos on shirts have camo in them. These are dark days I tell you.....

Most track sessions have rules about when and how to overtake safely. The chances of vehicle contact is quite slim. You're more likely to do damage by running off the track. Get out there and have some fun. That's what your car was built for.

I try and get out to the track once or twice a month in my M3 CS. You don't start out in wheel-to-wheel racing. As a beginner, you start in "point-by" HPDE's. A "point-by" is literally pointing a finger out in the direction you want a faster car behind you to pass safely. It's actually safer than driving on a public street because no one is being an idiot and driving while texting, eating, putting on makeup etc. There are no pedestrians, and no intersections, and no opposing traffic. Everyone is going the same direction, and everyone is supposed to be hyper aware of what's happening. Collisions are actually VERY rare and in my 2 years of tracking I have yet to see any cars collide with another car in an HPDE (high performance driving event).

Wheel-to-wheel racing is a whole other category that requires a racing license, and you won't have to worry about that if at all. There is plenty of car contact there.

Anyway, it's a lot of fun, can get expensive in consumables if you go often (tires, brakes), but well worth it.
